Intimacy with God
Among His children God does not have FAVORITES but He does have INTIMATES. Proverbs 3:32 says, "The Lord is intimate with the upright." In the original language the word "intimate" means "secret counsel" or "circle of familiar friends." The word "upright" means "straight, correct, pleasing." Don't you LOVE THAT! God gives secret counsel and reveals His will to His circle of familiar friends who ha...ve determined to walk in uprightness and who desire to be pleasing to Him!! An intimate relationship as one in His circle of close friends is AVAILABLE to every believer BUT it is not AUTOMATIC. It is contingent on our obedience to the Word and dependence on the Spirit in order to walk uprightly before the Lord. He does not have FAVORITES but He does have INTIMATES.
